There is also a diagram map of the immediate Astoria area in the Resource Center.

From Metro:

The Astoria Building is a 10 minute walk from Courthouse (Orange Line) and a 15 minute walk from Rosslyn (Blue Line).

Courthouse: Take the main escalator and cross the street (Wilson Blvd). Turn left and go 1/2 block. Turn right at Vietch street. Go 3 blocks downhill to Lee Highway, where there is a stoplight. Turn right and go 1-1/2 blocks to 2100 Lee Highway.

Rosslyn: Take the main escalator and go out the BACK of the Metro station. After the exit card readers, go straight ahead and to the left, and up the stairs. Turn right onto Fort Myer Drive. Go 1-1/2 blocks to Lee Highway. Do not cross Lee Highway, just stay on the same side as you turn left. Walk 5-1/2 blocks to 2100 Lee Highway, just after Rhodes street.

From Montgomery County:

Take the beltway (495-West) towards Northern Virginia. Right after the Cabin John Bridge, stay to the right and take the exit marked George Washington Memorial Parkway (exit 14). Go 9.2 miles, and take the exit marked 66 / 50 Roosevelt Bridge/Washington/Rosslyn (Note - this exit is closed during morning rush hour, 7-9 AM). After getting on the exit ramp, stay to the right and follow the sign for 50 West, Rosslyn. Go 1.4 miles and take the Courthouse Road exit. At the 4th stop light, turn left onto Wilson Blvd. At the next stoplight, turn right onto N. Veitch Street. Go three blocks to the next stoplight at the bottom of the hill, and turn right onto Lee Highway. Go 1-1/2 blocks to 2100 Lee Highway.

From DC, Key Bridge:

After crossing the Key Bridge into Virginia, stay in the right lane. Turn right at the second stoplight, which is Lee Highway/Route 29 South. Go straight on Lee Highway through 3 stop lights. Stay in the left lane, but don't take the ramp to get back onto 66 West. At the 4th stoplight, which is Vietch street, make a U-turn (it's legal). Go 1-1/2 blocks to 2100 Lee Highway.

From I-66 West (Falls Church, Fairfax, Vienna, or Reston):

Take I-66 East to Exit 72 (Lee Highway). At the stoplight at the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Lee Highway. Go 0.8 miles (through 6 more stoplights) to 2100 Lee Highway, 1-1/2 blocks past Vietch St.

From Springfield or South Arlington:

Get on I-395 North. Take exit 8-B, Rte 27 Washington Blvd/Pentagon. You will pass the Pentagon on your right, then take the very next exit marked "Pentagon North Parking". Stay to the right so that you make a loop underneath Rte 27, and you will end up merging onto 110 North (not marked). Get into the center lane. Continue until you see signs for I-66 West. Get on the Interstate, but take the very first exit off again- this is exit 73. Then follow the directions from I-66 West.

From North Arlington:

Get on Lee Highway going Eastbound (towards D. C.), starting from Vietch Street or further west. Go to 2100 Lee Highway, which is 1-1/2 blocks past Vietch street.

From Old Town Alexandria:

Take the GW Parkway north to I-395. Get on 395 South. Take exit 9-A onto Rte 110 North. Follow the signs for I-66 West. Get on the Interstate, but take the very first exit off again- this is exit 73. Then follow the directions from I-66 West.

Alternate Route: Take the GW Parkway north, and stay on it past I-395, past the exits for Memorial Bridge, and past Route 50. You will actually pass by Rosslyn and then double back. After Rosslyn, get into the left lane, and take the left exit for Spout Run Parkway. At the stoplight, turn left onto Lee Highway (Route 29 North). Go 0.6 miles (through 3 more stoplights) to 2100 Lee Highway, 1-1/2 Blocks after Vietch St.

From DC, 14th St. Bridge (I-395 South):

Take exit 9-A onto 110 North. Follow the signs for I-66 West. Get on the Interstate, but take the very first exit off again- this is exit 73. Follow the directions from I-66 West.

From DC, Roosevelt Bridge (I-66 West):

Don't worry about HOV - it doesn't apply until after your exit. Take exit 73, Route 29/Lee Highway. Get in the middle lane and go straight through the 1st stoplight onto 29 South, Lee Highway. Go straight through 4 more stoplights. Stay in the left lane, but DON'T take the ramp to get back onto 66 West. At the 6th stoplight, which is Vietch street, make a U-turn (it's legal). Go 1-1/2 blocks to 2100 Lee Highway.

At the Astoria:

There isn't any sign that says "Astoria", but you will know you are there because it looks like a big castle, red brick, with round towers. There is a fountain in the front, but it is turned off during the winter.

There are 24 guest parking spots in front of the building, 12 on each side. DO NOT BACK IN or you will get towed (this rule is to avoid having headlights shine into the apartment windows).

If the guest parking is full, go back out onto Lee Highway and take the first right turn onto Rhodes St., where there will almost certainly be a space. On Rhodes St., you MUST back in at an angle, or you will get a ticket (don't ask me why). Parking on Rhodes St. is restricted to two hours on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but there is no restriction in the evenings.

Go to the Astoria front door. Use the guest entrance on the right.
